Another week, another Cubs status. We just did the Cubs Pirates matchup a few days ago. Not much is different. Let’s see how the Cubs have been doing this last week.
BAT up 10, PITCH down 3.5 and the Cubs went 5-2 or another +3 wins for the week. UR being down surprised me because I thought I saw a couple of unearned runs scored against the Cubs this week.
Rosters are out of whack with September call ups and the Cubs have lots of players in the top 200 compared to earlier in the season. Let’s look at top Cubs.
Cubs now have 10 guys in top 200, five in top 100, and Rizzo rose to top 25. He might want MVP this season. Carl Edwards was once top Cub around here in the 7/20 status report. He struggled but still hanging in there. La Stella rounds out this list. He’s having a career year so far. <anti jinx on> Hopefully Contreras recovers for the playoffs! <anti jinx off>
Not much more to say about this week.
Blast from the past 2003
