Cubs play the White Sox for the first time this year. Let;’s see what the White Sox have been up to lately.
CHA Team Status
The Sox went 13-11 gaining 2 games in the last 4 weeks which isn’t bad. Their hitting tanked however and PITCH maintaining a steady underwater level. Based on run differential the White Sox should be farther under 0.500 than 2 games but the W/L columns are all that matter in baseball.

Cubs ahead in team WAA, Lineup, and Starter. Sox have an edge on relief. Vegas has the White Sox a huge underdog. TC Sim agrees.
Nova is a maxed out terrible pitcher. Max tier numbers will be extended to -4 in next iteration. Hamels is ranked #31 in MLB and a top tier pitcher close to +3 tier number.
These are the White Sox starters Cubs may have to deal with. Giolito is on track for AL Cy Young if he keeps this up according to this data model but he’s virtually tied with Justin Verlander. More on this when we get closer to All Star picks. The rest of this staff is completely terrible.
Relief not bad right now.
CHA Lineup 06162019
Since the game starts tonight the above is their last lineup which is underwater. This should be expected based up on their dismal BAT in team status.
Still a long season ahead of the White Sox and being only -2 team WAA means they’re still in the hunt for a WIld Card spot. Minnesota is running away with the AL Central at +23 so that will be difficult and perhaps impossible to catch based upon the current White Sox team. It will be interesting if they choose to be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline this year.
That is all for now. Until then ….
